John DeFerraro

John DeFerraro is the Director of Choral Activities at
Conner High School in Hebron, KY. Under his direction, choirs consistently earn State Distinguished Ratings with Sweepstakes honors, and regularly collaborate with other artists, such as the African Children’s Choir and Point of Grace. John is continually active as a clinician, guest conductor, elected official, and adjudicator. Currently, he serves
KMEA as a member of the State Choral Council, and
ACDA through his role as the Southern Division R&R Chair for Contemporary A Cappella. He is also a part of a national
NAfME mentorship task force, and was recently recognized as a Premiere National Choral Conductor by
Music For All, under the artistic direction of Professor Henry Leck.
In a cappella, John serves on the
A Cappella Education Association Board of Directors as the National Treasurer, with additional service as the Co-Producer and former Director of Education of the
National A Cappella Convention. He is also an event producer for the
Voices in Harmony a cappella festival, in addition to working on the administrative team of Deke Sharon and Brody McDonald's
Camp A Cappella. He is an annual judge for the Contemporary A Cappella Society's
CARA Awards, and is a proud alumnus of the
University of Kentucky acoUstiKats.
